Myanmar military chief's wife took a culture trip to Russia yesterday. Daw Kyu Kyu Hla toured the Leo Bardamov Museum with her travel group. Russian Deputy Head Evgenia Ludupova welcomed the foreign visitors at the entrance. The museum staff showed them around all the different exhibits. Daw Kyu Kyu Hla asked questions about the displays during her visit. The Myanmar delegation brought several important people on this museum adventure. Daw Nilar joined the group as the wife of a high government official. The Myanmar Ambassador's wife came along with other staff members. All the women traveled together through the Russian city of Ulan-Ude. Local Russian officials made sure the visitors felt welcome during their stay. Daw Kyu Kyu Hla signed her name in the special visitor book before leaving. She traded small presents with the museum workers as a friendly gesture. The Leo Bardamov Museum holds thousands of cultural treasures from different time periods. Visitors can see ancient Soviet artifacts and beautiful Buddhist artwork inside. The museum opens every day from eleven in the morning until seven at night. This famous museum displays over five thousand historical items for tourists. People can look at old paintings and kitchen tools from past centuries. Buddhist statues and religious artwork fill many of the display cases. Artists from the 1900s created some of the most popular pieces. The museum keeps important records about Soviet history for future generations to study.
