DDMF OberComp brings hands-off multiband compression to four separate frequency ranges. Each one has an auto compressor, with a large threshold knob to set how much it works. The plug-in handles the deeper settings, which keeps things simple while giving producers room to shape their sound.

At its core, Linkwitz-Riley filters split the audio into four parts, with phase changes taken into account. Users can move the crossover points by hand. Knee shape, attack speed, and release behavior adapt to the input, with two modes for auto-detection. The goal is clean compression with little added color.

Each range has gain controls before and after the compressor. That lets users change the tone as well as tame loud peaks. Live meters show the level and how much gain gets cut. Producers can also solo or bypass each range.

For more control, a dry/wet knob lets users blend the raw and processed audio. There are global gain settings at both ends, along with an external sidechain and a Listen option to check its feed. Look-ahead starts at 2 ms by default.

OberComp works with Windows 10 and newer, while Macs need at least macOS 12. Linux users get ARM and x86_64 support. VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats are ready, and DDMF has an iOS release in development.

The plug-in costs £54 with VAT already part of the price.
