Kenya's Deputy President Attends Wedding.
TIGONI, Kenya - Deputy President Kithure Kindiki went to a wedding on Saturday. It was for the son of Tourism Minister Rebecca Miano. The wedding was in Tigoni, Kiambu County.
Peter married his bride, Wambui. The deputy president said Kenya is a blessed country. He posted about it on Facebook.
Mr. Kindiki said strong families make a better nation. He said Kenya needs more than roads and buildings; it also needs love and good values.
"We need positive social values," he said. "We need love for each other and our country."
Mr. Kindiki wants to see stronger families. He thinks different age groups should support each other more, and he says this will make Kenya prosper in every way.
Other leaders came to the wedding too. Interior Minister Kipchumba Murkomen was there. So was Interior Secretary Raymond Omollo.
Peter and Wambui married traditionally on April 6th. The deputy president is happy for the new couple and hopes their love will help make Kenya a better place.
