Tennis star Novak Djokovic will participate in the ATP Finals beginning next week in Turin, Italy, according to Angelo Binaghi, president of the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation. The Serbian champion confirmed his attendance on Monday after missing three weeks of competition, dispelling speculation he might skip the tournament as he did in 2024. Djokovic holds seven career titles at this event and currently sits fourth in the annual standings. The 38-year-old athlete last competed at the Shanghai Masters 1000 on October 11, losing his semifinal match to Valentin Vacherot. He then withdrew from the Paris Masters to rest before returning this week in Athens for a second-round contest against Alejandro Tabilo. During 2025, Djokovic advanced to the semifinals at all four major championships and captured his 100th career ATP trophy in Geneva during May, joining Roger Federer and Jimmy Connors as the third player to reach that mark. One remaining qualification position remains available for the eight-player field. Felix Auger-Aliassime and Lorenzo Musetti compete for the final spot, separated by 160 points in eighth and ninth positions, respectively. Musetti can overtake the Canadian by winning the Athens tournament this week. The season-ending competition runs from November 9 through 16 at Pala Alpitour.
