Jindu killed his childhood friend Kudzurunga because he feared the man knew about his first murder of Mboneli Ncube. He even sent fake messages to Kudzurunga's mother, pretending her son had left the country. Jindu later told police that someone offered him money or a vehicle for Ncube's body parts. He lived just four houses away from Ncube before the killings.
