Dynamos ditch match face three nil loss and fine

Dynamos players stormed off the field during their match against FC Platinum at Mandava Stadium. The team refused to continue playing after referees awarded a penalty kick to their opponents. Both sides had scored one goal each when the controversial decision happened. Coach Saul Chaminuka led his squad away from the pitch as a protest. The abandoned game will likely cost Dynamos three points and thousands of dollars.

League officials promised to review match reports before making their final ruling. Previous cases show teams that abandon games usually face heavy penalties. FC Platinum will probably receive automatic victory on a 3-0 scoreline. The Premier Soccer League strongly criticized teams that cause matches to end early. Dynamos could pay fines reaching 3000 US dollars for their actions.

Vusa Ngwenya had given Dynamos an early advantage during the first half. The visiting team played with more energy and created several scoring chances. FC Platinum struggled to match their opponents until the second period began. Norman Mapeza made tactical changes that helped his team create better opportunities. Thando Ngwenya scored the equalizing goal for the home side.

Referee Quedsani Dirwai awarded the disputed penalty with twenty minutes remaining. Chaminuka accused match officials of treating teams unfairly throughout the game. The coach claimed his players deserved better decisions from the referee. He argued that FC Platinum should have received red cards earlier. The protest highlighted ongoing tensions between clubs and referees about match standards.
