[QUOTE="Munyaradzi Mafaro, post: 50371, member: 636"] Game fans spent their money on Elden Ring: Nightreign during May 2025 across America. The fantasy adventure beat every other premium game that month according to Circana analyst Mat Piscatella. DOOM: The Dark Ages grabbed second place as gamers loved the demon-slaying action. Forza Horizon 5 raced into third place after launching on PlayStation 5 consoles. Oblivion Remastered fell from its April crown to fourth place during the busy sales month. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 held steady at fifth place without moving up or down. Star Wars: Battlefront 2 made a shocking jump from 135th place all the way to number 12. Assassin's Creed Shadows landed at 11th place just above the Star Wars game. Split Fiction came right after Battlefront 2 at the 13th spot. The sales charts showed gamers wanted action and adventure games more than anything else. Monster Hunter Wilds still rules as the top game for all of 2025 across the United States. Oblivion Remastered climbed ahead of Assassin's Creed Shadows to take second place for the year. Shadows dropped down to third place after losing ground to the fantasy remaster. Elden Ring: Nightreign reached 11th place for yearly sales despite its strong May performance. DOOM: The Dark Ages sits much lower at 16th place for the entire year. PlayStation 5 consoles outsold every other gaming machine during May. Hardware sales dropped 13 percent compared to the same month last year. Video game spending rose just one percent compared to May 2024. Industry experts worry about rising costs hurting future game purchases. Tariffs might force customers to buy fewer games next year.
