Police later summoned him and claimed he presented false papers.

The CID demanded he appear for questioning, but his requests for legal help from ULS went unanswered. Kizito revealed he fled Uganda for safety reasons. The ULS never condemned the threats against him or tried to ensure his safety. When he briefly returned, promises of help with his CID case never materialized. His life has been completely disrupted, even forcing him to pause his university studies.
