Epworth comes alive as Harare marks Independence Day

Many people gathered at Epworth High School today for Harare's Independence Day celebrations. Senator Charles Tavengwa attended as the main official representing the provincial government. Military leaders joined him, including Colonel Jones Makuyana from the army and Air Force Commander Ernest Matsambira from Manyame Airbase. Police chief Maxwell Chikunguru came along with prison service leader Charity Gezi.

The crowd enjoyed performances from popular comedian Kapfupi, who entertained alongside the police musical group. Veterans showed their talents through the Chitepo War Veterans Choir, which performed patriotic songs. Elysium Magna dancers displayed their artistic skills during the event. TNT Brothers added more excitement with their energetic dance routines. Residents from across the capital region participated in these important national commemorations.
