The European guy who speaks for all those countries across the ocean dropped by to chat with Uganda's top military man today. Jan Sadek represents the European Union here and he sat down with General Muhoozi Kainerugaba at the special forces base outside the city. These two important figures talked about keeping everyone safe throughout this part of Africa. The meeting happened because both sides care about peace nearby. General Kainerugaba told Sadek he appreciated how often they met to keep Uganda and Europe working together as friends. The military boss seemed happy that Europe stayed interested in what was happening around East Africa. Ambassador Sadek had nice things to say about Uganda's army and how they help keep neighboring countries peaceful. Both men agreed that working together makes solving problems easier for everyone involved. Europe wants to keep supporting Uganda as the country helps settle fights between different groups across this region. The ambassador promised his group would continue backing peace plans that Uganda helped create. He told the general that European countries think Uganda does good work making the area more stable. Their afternoon meeting shows how Europe values what Uganda brings to security discussions in East Africa. The military headquarters where they met is near Lake Victoria in Entebbe, not far from the main airport. These types of meetings happen regularly to keep communication open between Uganda and international partners. Both leaders shook hands at the end, feeling good about their talk and future teamwork. Everyone left believing they could tackle hard regional problems by staying connected through conversations like this one.
