The court heard that Chiminya broke the law. Only Zimbabwe's President can pick new chiefs. That's what the country's rules say. Chiminya made things very mixed up. He made people wonder who the real chiefs were.

The leaders of all chiefs in Zimbabwe had problems because of what Chiminya did. People didn't know which chiefs to listen to anymore. The court said Chiminya made fun of the President by acting like he had the President's powers. He tried to fire chiefs the President had picked. This messed up how things work in many villages.
