Falcon Golf Club says the Air Force of Zimbabwe forced it off its Manyame course. Trustee Alex Elias Mashamhanda has brought two new cases to the High Court, with Takaindisa Law Chambers handling both. One seeks to get the club back on site. The other fights the land's new military status. Case HCH5010/26 relies on common law and Rule 59. Falcon points to its lease from the City of Harare, years of use without trouble, and cash spent on the grounds. The claim covers its clubhouse, golf area, and other site perks. Military staff took charge without a judge's order, per Falcon. Its bid to meet defense chiefs went nowhere. And during the Zimbabwe Inter-Service Golf Team Championship, club members could not get in. Air Force staff also put up a plaque naming the venue Air Force Falcon Golf Club. Falcon sent in its charter, lease, site photos, and event papers to back its case. A copy of the plaque went in as well. Even if another party holds title to the land, the club claims it has a lien tied to the work it paid for. The second case, HCH5002/26, takes aim at SI 28/2026. That order gave the land military cantonment status under the Defence Act. Citing Section 27 of the High Court Act and Rule 62, Falcon says the minister went beyond his legal powers. No written notice came first, despite the club's clear use of the site. More files back that claim. They cover SI 210/2025, a land planning notice, an air force public notice, and a withdrawal letter from the Ministry of Local Government. The club sent mail between the military, the Zimbabwe Golf Association, and its chairman as well. An older urgent case, HCH4662/26, got dropped by consent. Judges Kwenda, Musariri, and Manhiri sat on the panel, while each side had to pay its legal costs. The withdrawal record points to faults in the first filing that needed a fix. The defense minister and air force chief have ten days after service to lodge objections and sworn replies. If neither responds, the court can list both cases as unopposed. At the point of filing, neither the ministry nor air force headquarters had sent in papers against the claims.
