Young people across Uganda can compete for cash prizes to enhance their farming practices. Heifer International Uganda started the fourth AYuTe Africa Challenge Uganda competition. Uganda aims to transition from small-scale farming to large-scale commercial farming. The government believes young inventors can lead this change. Women make up 30 percent of the people who reach the final round. Country Director William Matovu says Uganda can become a leader in farm technology across Africa.
