FIFA leaders will come to Zimbabwe tomorrow. They will teach a new group how to run football in the country. The new Zimbabwe Football Association team, headed by Nqobile Magwizi, is the first chosen group since Felton Kamambo led in 2018. The world football leaders watched the voting and said it was good. This ended the time of a special group that fixed problems at Zimbabwe's football office. The new team needs help starting work. FIFA sent people right away to guide them, mainly about running things well. "FIFA members will come here," Magwizi said. "They plan to teach all of us on the team." The FIFA group arrives tomorrow and stays for a week. After their teaching, the team will make plans for the next five years. No one has led Zimbabwe football since Kamambo's tenure ended in 2022. Near the end of his tenure, big problems prevented Zimbabwe from playing. FIFA put in a fix-it team led by Lincoln Mutasa. As part of making things better, people voted two weeks ago. Magwizi won big, with 61 out of 72 votes. The new team has Kennedy Ndebele and Loveness Mukura helping lead. Other members include Kudzai Kadzombe, Alice Zeure, Tafadzwa Benza, Thomas Marambanyika, Brighton Ushendibaba, and Davison Muchena. These leaders face hard work ahead. The old group left many problems, including fights in offices, bad money use, wrong acts toward women workers, old bills, poor work, and unclear money paths. Zimbabwe was barred from playing world football for 18 months. FIFA allowed them to play again on July 11, 2023, when Mutasa's team came in. "We started running fast," Magwizi said. "We met four times. We asked numbers experts to check our money. All team members left their other football jobs to focus here." The group plans to meet soon. They want to pick people for small teams that help run things. One important small team will watch votes for other football groups. FIFA sent nice words to Zimbabwe through their top man Gianni Infantino and helper Mattias Grafstrom. "I feel happy to say well done for becoming Zimbabwe football's head," Grafstrom wrote. "We want to work with you to make football better in Zimbabwe and Africa. We can help you make your plans real and make the game strong at all steps."
