High velocity on E0 moves the fret position, and low velocity leaves the hand where it is. F0 works on the same principle. Get it backwards, and the plugin slides from a fret no player could reach in time. That single rule kills the most common giveaway in programmed guitar, which is a chord voiced so tightly that no single hand could fret it. The engine leans on fingering logic to sell the illusion. Fight it, and you lose the one thing holding the performance together. Then use the tab view. Switch Riffer into guitar tab, look at where your notes have actually landed, and move anything sitting up at the twelfth fret in a part that should be open and ringing. Left-hand noises come baked into the library, and they only make sense when the fingering does. [HEADING=2]Doubling a take fixes what humanizing cannot[/HEADING] Riffer's humanize controls handle timing and velocity separately. You select the notes, set the amount, and hit Generate. Do velocity first, then timing, and keep both small, because minor inconsistency reads as human while large inconsistency reads as broken. Humanization still has a ceiling. Two slightly different performances of the same part, panned apart, beat one heavily randomized take every time, and Ample builds that in. The Doubled Guitars toggle runs a second instance internally, while the Double knob sets the timing offset between left and right channels. Small offsets give you [B]a naturally doubled acoustic guitar sound[/B]. Large ones give you a flam. For chords, the Strum Note controls matter more than any of this. A positive velocity gradient makes the pick dig in harder as it crosses toward the high strings, which is what a downstroke does. Reverse it for upstrokes. Then set strum time short for a tight chord hit, or long enough that the notes separate into an arpeggio, and vary that value between bars so no two chords land identically. One limit is worth planning around. Riffer caps out at 64 measures in the free build, so longer arrangements need splitting across regions, or exporting to MIDI and running the part from your DAW instead. [/QUOTE]
