Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam says outside forces hurt Ghana's money matters. The past finance head spoke up for his New Patriotic Party on Thursday.

Adam talked on PM Express in Accra. He said money problems made voters pick a new team, but he pointed out that many other nations faced the same hard times.

"The money issues led to our loss," Adam said. "Many rulers in other lands lost power at this time. Ghana was not alone. Money talks filled our voting time."

The Karaga lawmaker said Ghana did well in the past year. He said the World Bank and IMF numbers show this. The nation's growth stayed near 6.4% after fixing some debt issues.

"Things grew better," he said. "Our work made the nation more steady. This helped the business grow. If we had kept going, people would have felt less pain."

Adam thinks their team fixed big problems fast. He sees good signs in how money moves through the land. These changes came as other nations still faced hard times, he said.

The past money chief wants people to know his team worked hard. He believes they made smart moves to help Ghana grow strong. Their plans started to work, but time ran out before voters could see all the good, he said.
