Zimbabwe President Mnangagwa named two freedom fighters as national heroes for their service before and after independence. Rungani, 76, died at Mbuya Dorcas Hospital in Harare. He served as director of the army's Engineering Military Equipment team. Beyond military service, he succeeded as a farmer raising cattle, goats, pigs, and chickens. Basopo passed away at age 66 in a South African hospital.
