The Gambia Tourism Board has teamed up with the Arts and Culture Ministry and many travel businesses for a big trip to Germany. They went to ITB Berlin, which started March 4th and runs through March 6th, 2025. This huge travel show attracts visitors from Germany who spend lots of money in Gambia. The tourism team wants everyone to know about their beautiful country. ITB Berlin began in 1966 and is the biggest travel show anywhere. The 2025 event uses the slogan "The World of Travel Lives Here" across its many displays. Most sellers come from countries outside Germany, and nearly half the people who attend fly in from abroad. These visitors make important choices about where to travel next. The big show splits into different travel types, such as the Adventure, Business, LGBTQ+, Luxury, Medical, and Technology sections. Right next to these areas, smart people talk about what happens next in travel during the ITB Berlin Convention. This year, more than 5,800 people from over 170 different countries came together under one roof. You can find The Gambia team at Hall 21, Stand 132, if you visit. Mr. Adama Njie runs tourism promotion from their UK office and says Germany brings them major business. He believes this show helps them tell German-speaking people why they should visit The Gambia. Mr. Njie asked any Gambians living nearby to stop by and chat about working together. He expects this year will bring many travelers to their country.
