General Mills' stunt makes your armpits reek of meat

Progresso launched a barbecue-scented deodorant to complement its Pitmaster soup collection. The product carries smoky aromas associated with grilling and is sold as part of the Pit Kit, which pairs the deodorant stick with a can of Pitmaster BBQ-Style Grilled Chicken & Fire Roasted Corn Soup. María Carolina Comings, vice president and business unit director for Progresso at General Mills, said the deodorant allows consumers to replicate the scent of outdoor cooking without operating a grill. The first batch became available on Oct. 2 at ProgressoPitKit.com for $15, and a second release is scheduled for on Oct. 16.
