Ghana Birth Registry Goes Wild With HQs and Bikes

The Births and Deaths Registry plans to build new offices soon across all 16 regions. Acting Registrar Samuel Adom Botchway said money, paperwork, and plans are ready. He made these comments at a workshop about document fraud held for district registrars in Ho. The registry will also buy more than 300 motorcycles and vehicles to help staff move around better.

Mr. Botchway discussed problems with poor office space and not enough equipment. He promised that the registry wants to update its workflow through digital systems. These changes aim to speed up services for people who need birth or death certificates. Once construction finishes, staff members will have better places to work. The improvements should help citizens access important records more easily throughout Ghana.
