Ghana's Defence Leadership Meets New Minister

Ghana's top military leaders met their new defense chief Monday in Accra.

Chief of Defence Staff General Thomas Oppong-Peprah led Service Chiefs to greet Defense Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah at the Ministry of Defence.

The military heads pledged support for Ghana's security and promised to guard its borders. They shared plans for dealing with security issues and discussed ongoing military projects with Dr. Boamah.

The new minister praised the Ghana Armed Forces for their service to the nation and stressed the need for strong ties between his office and the military to achieve defense goals.

Both sides agreed to work together to keep Ghana safe and peaceful. The meeting set the stage for future cooperation between defense officials and military leaders.

The visit marks Dr. Boamah's first official interaction with military commanders since his appointment as Defense Minister.
