Foreign businesses want deals at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair 2025, which started yesterday in Bulawayo. The event runs under the theme "Industrialisation: Crafting an Integrated Economic Landscape." Indonesia brings five companies selling herbal medicine, tires, soaps, and fertilizers, looking for local partners. South Africa aims to boost tourism with Zimbabwe since they share borders along the Limpopo River. Kenya seeks connections in the education, farming, tourism, and technology sectors with both government officials and private companies. Comesa trade officer Bonakele Ndzinisa says Zimbabwe actively supports its trade activities. Belarus brought several companies with their university, hoping to attract Zimbabwean students. Uganda Investment Authority plans to work with the Zimbabwe Investment Development Agency for mutual benefits. ZITF Company Board chairman Busisa Moyo called this year's event successful, with exhibitors setting up despite the holiday. The fair has 596 exhibitors, including 45 international ones from 28 countries. Countries at ZITF include Afghanistan, Angola, China, Egypt, France, India, Japan, among many others. Small businesses gain exposure through global partnerships at the fair. Many young people looked for jobs outside the exhibition park yesterday. The event connects people in manufacturing, farming, construction, education, banking, technology, printing, and tourism industries. These business areas create sustainable economic growth through new partnerships.
