[QUOTE="Munyaradzi Mafaro, post: 31815, member: 636"] People in Gokwe have almost finished setting up for Zimbabwe's big birthday party. Workers have already completed the soccer field. They fixed roads all around Nembudziya Growth Point, where crowds will gather on April 18. Tomorrow, officials will light the special Freedom Flame at the Museum of Human Sciences in Harare. This flame reminds everyone about the brave fighters who helped make Zimbabwe free. The burning torch travels first to Kwekwe for a special event at Mutapa Hall this Thursday. Dr. Constantino Chiwenga plans to attend that ceremony. Then, everyone took the flame to Sikombela Detention Camp on April 17. After that, runners carry it straight to Nembudziya for the main celebration. Mr. Kembo Mohadi leads these important activities. The flame stands for hope and freedom across the entire country. Workers improved many roads leading into Gokwe North District. They painted school buildings with fresh colors. Many schools received new roofs and better bathrooms. Teams drilled water holes powered by sunshine throughout the area. The local hospital gained a better place to keep bodies safe. These changes help both the celebration and everyday life for local families. Edson Chiherenge from Zanu PF says about 80 percent of jobs finished ahead of schedule. Construction teams need just small tasks to complete everything. Most buildings stand ready with new roofs going up right away. Workers finish floors and walls as the big day comes closer. Roads from Chakari, Jakani, Hovano, Galavi, Choda, and Copper Queen look smooth and ready for visitors. Local people feel happy about all the progress happening around them. Trymore Gumbi believes these changes last much longer than just one celebration day. Anotida Runesu thanked President Mnangagwa for bringing national events to different places across Zimbabwe. She believes he keeps his promise about helping every community. The entire town buzzes with excitement as they prepare to welcome Zimbabweans from all regions for their national birthday party.
