Assembly members showed complete support for the new District Chief Executives in Gomoa East and Central Districts. Margaret Naana Ackom received all 18 votes for Gomoa East DCE. Hackman Kobina Aidoo earned every vote from all 22 members for the Gomoa Central DCE. Their success came from good community relationships and high standards. Regional Minister Ekow Okyere Panyin Eduamoah thanked everyone for the peaceful process and appreciated the trust people placed in President John Dramani Mahama. He reminded everyone about the work needed to help Gomoa residents. The minister pointed out poor road conditions and the economic hardships facing locals. He asked the new leaders to carry out the Reset Ghana Agenda policies.

Eduamoah told the DCEs to focus on building up local funds for development projects. He warned against corruption and asked for honest leadership. Traditional leader Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI praised the strong support shown for the president. He promised the chiefs would help empower people financially. He asked the Regional Minister to team up with MPs to fix roads and make life better for everyone living there.
