Musu Bakoto Sawo believes people need to speak up louder for women who have disabilities. She told The Voice these women face double trouble - society treats them differently both as women and as people with disabilities. This makes everything harder for them, from going to school to finding jobs to getting healthcare. Better policies would help them participate fully in their communities. Sawo explained how fighting for women with disabilities creates more inclusive spaces. Every woman deserves equal chances, regardless of physical or mental conditions. She suggested running awareness campaigns at schools, workplaces, and throughout neighborhoods. These efforts would change negative views and reduce the stigma against these women. The government should include women with disabilities when making decisions, Sawo argued. Laws protecting their rights need better enforcement. Advocacy groups must push for accessible public spaces and inclusive classrooms. Special job opportunities matched to their abilities would make a big difference. Leadership programs could build confidence and teach skills these women need. According to Sawo, media coverage matters tremendously. Showing these women as capable, valuable community members challenges wrong ideas. Highlighting their achievements inspires others and fights against unfair treatment. These representations can transform how society views disability. Isatou Gano, a woman with a disability, expressed frustration about representation. Politicians seek their support during election season but forget them afterward. No disabled women currently serve in Parliament. Gano claimed they receive little help from either the government or women's rights groups. She stressed they need someone at important meetings who understands their challenges. Jarrai Jabbie shared how much they want meaningful work instead of charity. She explained many women with disabilities sit on streets depending on handouts to feed their families. Though their bodies may have limitations, their minds work perfectly well. With proper facilities and financial backing, these women could accomplish impressive things. They simply need the opportunity to prove themselves.
