Ogun State students gave Governor Dapo Abiodun a big thumbs-up for naming Samuel Badekale and Haroun Adebakin as educational ambassadors. These two students earned perfect 5.0 GPAs at the University of Lagos graduation ceremony. The Governor met with them Friday at his Oke-Mosan office in Abeokuta. He said they made the state proud and started their journey toward greatness. Each student received a check for 10 million naira from him. Abiodun promised his team would keep honoring people who bring recognition to the state. The student group NAOSS responded Saturday through a statement from President Kehinde Thomas and PR Officer Olubodun Lekan. They said this reward would push other students to aim higher. Thomas called the governor a generous man whose actions should serve as an example for other state leaders across the country. The group praised Abiodun for his great leadership, which made them feel proud. They pointed out how his work has greatly improved education, making Ogun stand out among Nigerian states. Speaking for all Ogun students, NAOSS thanked the governor for his generous rewards to these top graduates. The group noted life has improved for students since Abiodun took charge in 2019. They receive financial aid, plus all state schools have seen major improvements. Students also enjoy many new opportunities that help their lives. The organization mentioned how fair the governor acts when giving cash gifts to outstanding graduates regardless of where they come from originally. Students from other states who attend Ogun schools have often benefited from these rewards. The group also praised how Abiodun attends nearly every graduation ceremony at state schools, always rewarding top students. NAOSS believes the large rewards given to Adebakin and Badekale will encourage them to keep excelling after putting Ogun on the global map. They noted the saying that hard work leads to more hard work, suggesting these students will continue their success.
