Prosecutors say Prinsloo collected cash payments from parents between January and early October but diverted portions of those payments for personal expenses. The school's majority owner, David Joseph Tigere, discovered the discrepancies and confronted her about the missing funds. Prinsloo allegedly blocked his access to financial records and refused to explain the shortfall.

Authorities began investigating after Tigere filed a police report on Oct. 8. Prinsloo had issued receipts for the payments while some families deposited tuition directly into the school's bank account. Lawrence Gangarahwe is prosecuting the case for the state.
