[QUOTE="Munyaradzi Mafaro, post: 45111, member: 636"] Professor Ransford Gyampo fights back against claims made about his contact with Ghana's Special Prosecutor. The Acting Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Shippers Authority says accusations against him are wrong. Kissi Agyebeng's office had said Gyampo tried to interfere with their investigation. The Special Prosecutor was looking into former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta and his deals with Strategic Mobilisation Limited. Gyampo wants to set the record straight about what really happened. The Office of the Special Prosecutor had claimed Gyampo called them during a search at SML's offices. They said he was trying to stop their corruption investigation. But Gyampo says this story is completely false. He explains that he never called their office at all. Instead, he contacted Agyebeng directly through personal messages. Gyampo reveals the real reason for his contact with the Special Prosecutor. He wanted to warn Agyebeng about causing money problems for Ghana during the investigation. The professor says he supports the corruption probe but worries about financial damage. He sent text messages asking Agyebeng to be careful with state funds. Gyampo hopes the Special Prosecutor's actions come from love of country rather than personal revenge. The professor feels angry about how his actions got twisted. He plans to share his WhatsApp messages with everyone to prove his point. These messages will show he only wanted to protect Ghana's money. Gyampo believes the false claims make him question the Special Prosecutor's real motives. He thinks Agyebeng should focus on facts instead of making up stories about phone calls that never happened.
