Hakeem Baba Ahmed used to work as President Tinubu's political helper. He talked about serious problems among people trying to remove Tinubu from office during 2027 elections. Ahmed appeared on Arise TV Monday morning and shared what he learned from talking to opposition leaders. The group trying to challenge Tinubu has major fights between different members. Ahmed watches these problems but does not join their meetings. Old politicians refuse to step aside for younger and better leaders to take charge. Ahmed believes these experienced politicians want to control everything and be the main faces of the opposition movement. They meet together and decide who gets what position before asking other Nigerians to support them. Ahmed thinks this approach hurts their chances of building a strong challenge against the ruling party. The opposition wastes a good chance because these politicians only care about themselves. Ahmed asks where young Nigerians are during these important discussions. He says the older politicians miss the point about what politics should really be about. These leaders should work behind the scenes instead of trying to be the stars of the movement. Ahmed worries that their selfishness will ruin everything for everyone else. The opposition needs fresh faces and new energy to succeed. News reports say Atiku Abubakar, Nasir El-Rufai, and Peter Obi want to start a new political party called All Democratic Alliance. The group plans to register this new party to challenge Tinubu. However, people close to Atiku later said he has not agreed to use that name. The opposition still argues about basic details like what to call their new party.
