The police in Harare, Zimbabwe, caught two men who they say stole three cars. Detectives arrested Mufaro Mupandira, 29, and Brandon Chitiyo, 21. They are from Overspill, Epworth.

The men acted like they wanted a taxi ride. But then they robbed the taxi drivers of their cars. They did this three times in December 2024.

On December 21, the men hired a taxi in Chitungwiza. They asked to go to Besa Village. But on the way, they stole the driver's Honda Fit.

The next day, they robbed another taxi driver in Domboshava. They got in the taxi with other people. When the other passengers got out, the two men attacked the driver. They put him in the trunk and drove to a farm. They left him in a field and took his Honda Fit.

On December 29, the men did the same thing to Beatrice. They stole a Mazda Familiar from a taxi driver.

The police saw one of the stolen cars in Harare. They chased the men and caught them. The men went to court and are currently in jail.

The police want people to be careful. They say not to pick up strangers in your car and to use technology to make your car harder to steal.
