[QUOTE="Nehanda, post: 29451, member: 2262"] Kenya Power plans to cut electricity in parts of the country this Sunday. They shared this news through their X account. The power company will shut off electricity at different times throughout the day. Two counties—Uasin Gishu and Nyeri — face these planned outages. In Uasin Gishu, electricity will stop flowing from 9 AM until 1 PM. The affected places include Murgor Hills, Tiret, Kaplemur, Kaptebee and nearby areas. People living here should prepare for the four-hour blackout. Nyeri County faces much longer power cuts lasting from 8 AM to 5 PM. The entire Nyeri Town will go dark. Many neighborhoods will lose power, including Kangemi, Asian Quarters, Witemere, Temple Road, Outspan Hospital, Golf Club, Kandara, and Ring Road. Nyeri Polytechnic, Green Hills, Ngangarithi, Ciaraini, Muthuaini, Gitero, Kiandere, Wandumbi, Kagwathi, Kigogoini, Kirurumi, Ihwa, Kinunga, Kamakwa, Kamuyu, and Ruring'u will be among the areas without electricity. The blackout will also extend to Meeting Point, Thunguma, Wambugu Farm, Micha, Chorong'i, and Gatitu Market. Kagumo TTC, Kiamwathi, Wamagana, Kiandu, Giakanja, Makutano, Kaiguri, Gachatha, Kangubiri, Muthinga, Ithekahuno, and Kangaita must also prepare for no electricity. The power company list continues with Seremwai, Le Pristine, King'ong'o Prison, Gamerock, Mt. Kenya Academy, Good Shepherd, Cocacola, Highlands, and King'ong'o Shopping Center. Goodwood Farm, Garden Estate, Kimathi University, Kiganjo Police, Kagumo High School, Kirichu, Ndurutu, Kiaganjo Market, Chaka, Nyaribo, and Karundas join them. Additional affected places include Mt. Kenya East, Maragima, Mbiriri, Ndathi, Kimahuri, Warazo Jet, Munyu, Blue Line, Mwicuiri, Soweto, Kamburaini, Naromoru Town, Gatuamba, Aguthi, Msafiri, Karicheni, and Milimani. Kings Medical, Thung'are, Brookside, Kamatongu, Honi, Mwireri, Kiawara, and Lamuria face the same fate. Bellevue, Kabendera, Ruirie, Kariminu, Tanyai, Nairutia, Mugunda, Ngobit, and Kariguini need backup power systems ready. Mahiga Meru, Matopeni, Sasini Estate, Baraka Estate, Waihenya Estate, Golden Gates, Major Seminary, Embassy, and Kamwenja TTC should prepare for Sunday without electricity. The outage affects Ihururu, Ngoru, Muhoya, Njoguini, Kahigaini, Kihuyo, Matahri Hospital, KBC Nyeri Hill, Nyeri High School, Miagayuini, Juakali, Aberdare Country Club, Amboni, Bondeni, The Ark Hotel, Kanyagia, Babito, Mahiga, Sangare, Kabati, Endarasha, Mwiyogo, Embaringo, Charity, Pura, Kiamunyuru, and Watuka.
