Hearts of Oak brought back a familiar face to lead their team into the new season. The club handed Mas-Ud Didi Dramani a two-year deal to become their head coach. Dramani takes over from Ivorian boss Aboubakar Ouattara. The former national team manager will work with the board as a special advisor. Club officials made the announcement at their Accra headquarters. Dramani arrives with plenty of experience coaching top teams across Africa and Europe. He guided both the Black Stars men's team and Black Queens women's squad during his career. The coach also spent time developing young talent at Right to Dream Academy. His most recent role saw him working with Danish club FC Nordsjælland. Abdul Gazale will stand beside him as the main assistant coach. The new coaching staff features several other appointments to help turn around the team's fortunes. Fiifi Parker Hanson joins as the second assistant coach for match preparations. Najau Issah takes charge of training the goalkeepers. Henry Martey becomes the team manager handling day-to-day operations. Enoch Jordan Daitey and Peter Boafo complete the backroom team. Hearts face their biggest rivals Asante Kotoko on July 6 at Accra Sports Stadium for the President's Cup. This match will test Dramani's new methods against quality opposition. The team travels to Nigeria afterward for the Eko International Tournament. These games will help prepare the squad for the upcoming league campaign. Fans hope the fresh approach brings better results.
