Many people came to say goodbye to Mr. Chigudu at a special place called the National Heroes Acre in Harare. People started arriving very early in the morning, around 7 o'clock. The place became full of happy singing and dancing. Some young women sang about President Mnangagwa. They believed he would still lead Zimbabwe in 2030. Mr. Chigudu was a very important person who helped lead a place called Manicaland Province. He worked hard for his country until he died last Wednesday. President Mnangagwa made him a National Hero because he spent his life making Zimbabwe better. Mr. Edgar Chigudu talked about his brother with pride. He said his brother always followed the rules and listened to people. He thanked President Mnangagwa for making his brother a National Hero. He told everyone how much his brother loved his family and his country. A man named Dr. Muswere said Mr. Chigudu was like a father to him. Mr. Chigudu taught him about leading the country and helped him after his own father died. He wanted young people to protect Zimbabwe and make it strong. Another leader, Mr. Mugadza, said Mr. Chigudu worked very hard and always came on time. Even after he stopped working, he helped people with good ideas. Mr. Parirenyatwa remembered how Mr. Chigudu liked everything to be done the right way. Mr. Moyo talked about how Mr. Chigudu fought to make Zimbabwe free and never stopped working to improve the country. President Mnangagwa came with his wife, Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa, to say goodbye. Many other important people came to remember Mr. Chigudu. They all knew he made Zimbabwe a better place, and people will remember him for a long time.
