High-Flying Healthcare - Bulawayo Unveils Advanced EMS Helicopter!

Bulawayo got a brand-new flying ambulance! The fancy helicopter landed at the airport yesterday morning, piloted by Russians, ready to help save lives.

Another helicopter will come soon. These special flying machines will rush to help sick people all across the Matabeleland area. They'll pick up folks hurt in car crashes and other bad medical cases.

The big plan includes six helicopters spread around Zimbabwe. They'll stay in Harare, Manicaland, Victoria Falls, and Bulawayo. President Mnangagwa made this happen after his trip to Russia. He met with Helidrive Air Ambulance folks, and they jumped right in to help.

The Russian company knows its stuff! For nine years, it has flown over 100 medical helicopters back home and helped train Zimbabwe's own team—pilots, doctors, nurses, and fix-it folks.

These flying hospitals pack some amazing gear. They can zip past tough spots and give the same care as a regular hospital room. Sick people who can't take normal planes can ride in these instead.

The service kicked off last August during a big meeting. It proved its worth right away! A person having heart trouble got from Chegutu to Harare in just 20 minutes - way faster than driving.

Local leader Winos Dube thinks it's great news. But he wants everyone to have a fair shot at using these flying helpers when they need them. He hopes rich or poor, anyone who needs quick medical help can get it.

The whole thing shows how Zimbabwe wants better care for its people. These special helicopters bring hope that more lives can be saved, no matter where folks live in the country.
