Brighton Ncube amazed fans by scoring three goals during the Highlanders' first home game. His fantastic performance helped them crush Kwekwe United with a 4-0 win. The striker became the first player to score three times this season in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League. These goals marked his first three-goal achievement since joining the Bosso team. Fans barely settled into their seats before seeing action. Just two minutes after kickoff, Mason Mushore sent a beautiful cross toward Melikhaya Ncube. The midfielder jumped high and headed the ball past goalkeeper Elton Nechirwe. The crowd erupted as Highlanders grabbed an early lead against their opponents from Kwekwe. The home team kept pushing forward with energy. At minute fifteen, MaNinja dazzled everyone with fancy footwork inside the penalty area. A defender knocked him down, forcing the referee to point to the penalty spot. MaNinja stepped up confidently and fooled the keeper completely, making the score 2-0 for Highlanders. Things fell apart for the visiting team after twenty-six minutes of play. Kwekwe keeper Nechirwe made a terrible mistake by handling the ball outside his area. He tried stopping Reason Sibanda from scoring but broke the rules instead. The referee showed him a red card, forcing Kwekwe to play with only ten men for most of the game. Right before halftime, MaNinja struck again. McKinnon Mushore threaded a perfect pass through the defense. Brighton calmly placed his shot into the bottom corner, putting Highlanders up 3-0. This goal showcased his excellent shooting skills as the team headed to break with a comfortable advantage. Highlanders continued attacking throughout the second half. Their fourth goal came at minute sixty-eight when Reason Sibanda was fouled inside the penalty box. MaNinja stepped up once more to take the penalty kick. He remained cool under pressure and sent the replacement goalkeeper the wrong way, completing his three-goal performance. Coach Kelvin Kaindu praised his team afterward. He mentioned that their preparation had been difficult, but they responded well. The coach appreciated how they scored four times without allowing any goals. He noticed improvement from their previous match and was happy to see signs of better teamwork developing among his players. Kaindu seemed especially pleased about MaNinja scoring three times despite not being completely fit. He revealed the striker only began training last week. Meanwhile, Kwekwe United coach Saul Chaminuka admitted his team started poorly. Playing with fewer players made everything harder for the visitors as Highlanders created several additional scoring chances throughout the match.
