[QUOTE="Munyaradzi Mafaro, post: 44592, member: 636"] Hip-hop artist Hollow Profit just released a new song called Mortal Men that talks about death and violence. The rapper comes from Duluth and his real name is Brody Lee Burke. He made the track to honor people who died young in his life and in the music world. The song remembers famous rappers like 2Pac, Pop Smoke, and King Von who were killed. Burke says hip-hop artists get murdered much more often than musicians in other types of music. He wants to make the world safer for his children. Two producers named Be Franky and Katsuro helped make the music. A music video will come out on June 27 that RoeKanuu directed. The song sounds like other serious rappers such as Joey Bada$$ and 50 Cent. Burke started making hip-hop music when he was 14 years old after hearing an Eminem song. Later he heard Kendrick Lamar's album To Pimp a Butterfly which really inspired him. He also likes Wu-Tang Clan and MF DOOM. The new song deals with heavy topics about losing people close to him. Burke mentions his cousin's brother who died at 19 and his wife's coworker who was killed. He believes people should use their time alive to build something better for the future.
