Malaysia's Home Minister said no citizens joined a foreign militant group that police recently discovered. Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail told reporters that only people from Bangladesh belonged to the network. The group wanted to spread dangerous ideas based on Islamic State teachings. Police investigations showed the militants planned to attack their home country's government. Security forces arrested 36 Bangladesh nationals during three separate raids. The arrests happened across Selangor and Johor states starting April 24. Saifuddin Nasution spoke at a community program launch at Hulu Terengganu District Council Hall. He warned that these activities could threaten Malaysia's safety if left unchecked. The minister stressed that security forces stay alert for such dangers. Officials must act firmly against groups that promote violence. The government will change how it fights financial scams through a new system. The National Scam Response Centre currently involves four different agencies working together. This shared control has created problems with daily operations. The Royal Malaysia Police will take charge of the new structure. Other agencies will provide support for the police-led effort. Victims can call the 997 hotline any time of day under the updated system. Police will take scam reports directly and record important details immediately. Officers will contact banks right away to freeze stolen money from victim accounts. The government will hire more workers to help people faster. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has approved all these changes for quick implementation.
