A free spirit person is an individual who doesn't conform to religion,
cultural beliefs, people's opinions, or societal expectations. But rather a free spirit lives life according to their own terms. We can further describe a free spirit as being a non-conformist because they can easily be identified from a crowd of people and that's what makes them particularly stand out from the rest of the herd that follows current trends or progressive belief systems.
That said, one of the main reasons people act or behave in constrained ways is mainly because of religion, cultural norms, or their environmental upbringing. Religion specifically highlights the importance of morals and expected behavioral conduct with the end result that individualists' thoughts are neglected and completely cast out in any religious discussions.
Furthermore, most cultural norms have their own unique patterns of predicated behavior and attitude towards the everyday life of a person, and not only that but how one is also anticipated to organize themselves in an appropriate cultural demeanor. However, a person who is a free spirit is very quick to identify all those social or religious constraints towards their lifestyle and freedom. Thereby a free spirit individual will even be more motivated by these constraints to demonstrate how much they aren't living their life based on general conventions.
