IDBZ housing spree hits cities and campuses

Zimbabwe's Infrastructure and Development Bank keeps building more homes and buildings across the country. The bank wants to help Zimbabwe become a richer nation before 2030 arrives. Workers just finished nearly 1000 house plots at Clipsham Views near Masvingo city. The bank plans to start the second part of this project on 100 hectares of land. Officials expect this new section to finish within twelve months.

The bank builds student housing at universities around Zimbabwe. Students can live at a new complex near Bulawayo that cost 16 million dollars to construct. This building has 516 rooms for more than 1000 students to share. Insurance companies and pension funds helped pay for the project. Bank leaders want to copy this idea at other universities.

Houses are going up at many places around Zimbabwe right away. The bank builds three-bedroom homes at Mabuto Villas that cost around 152000 dollars each. Workers have started 114 house plots near Bulawayo city. The bank bought land at Plumtree to build homes and medical centers. Families can buy these houses with payment plans that make them affordable.

The bank raised money from 2 billion dollars up to 5 billion dollars for building projects. This cash pays for roads, dams, and other important structures Zimbabwe needs. Workers built Mutange Dam that holds almost 5 million cubic meters of water. The bank helps farmers and towns get the infrastructure they need to grow.
