India's top military chief General Anil Chauhan warned about a dangerous partnership forming between China, Pakistan and Bangladesh. He said this alliance could threaten peace and security across South Asia. The general made these comments during a foreign policy event in Delhi on Tuesday. He pointed out that America's changing positions make the situation even more complicated. India wants to stay independent but not isolated from global affairs. Countries across South Asia keep changing their governments and political views. This creates major headaches for Indian defense planners. Economic problems have made neighboring nations vulnerable to outside influence. China has been offering huge loans to countries like Sri Lanka and Maldives. When these nations cannot pay back the money, Beijing gains more control over them. Sri Lanka crashed financially in 2022 and needed India's help with over three billion dollars in emergency funding. Myanmar has been fighting a civil war since 2021 with armed groups controlling large areas. These unstable situations give China more chances to expand its influence. General Chauhan explained that Pakistan gets most of its weapons from China. Chinese technicians must stay in Pakistan to maintain these military systems. The Indian military struck back at terrorist camps in Pakistan during May after attackers killed 26 people in Kashmir. Pakistan responded with conventional warfare instead of limiting the fight. General Chauhan said Pakistan chose to escalate the 87-hour conflict into full military action. This escalation decision came from Pakistan's leadership.
