Intel just updated its Arc GPU Graphics Driver to version 101.6651 Beta. The fresh driver supports Ubisoft's latest game, Assassin's Creed Shadows, for users with Intel Arc B-series, A-series Graphics cards, or Intel Core Ultra processors that include built-in Arc graphics. Players who enjoy Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will notice much better performance on their Intel Arc B-series cards. Testing shows impressive speed boosts in Black Ops 6 when compared to the previous driver. Players can expect around 15 percent faster frame rates at 1080p resolution with all settings maxed out. Those gaming at 1440p resolution will see approximately 12 percent higher frame rates under the same conditions. The updated driver also fixes problems with Black Myth: Wukong, where the benchmark would crash when players turned on Full Ray Tracing. The release contains several known issues Intel has already identified. These include visual problems with water in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, errors when running MLPerf on multi-GPU systems, and image corruption when using Topaz Labs Photo AI. Some professional applications like Maya 2024 might freeze during benchmarks, and DaVinci Resolve Studio can crash during performance tests. Adobe Lightroom Classic runs slower than expected unless users adjust specific GPU settings through the preferences menu. The full release notes Intel provided contain a complete list of fixed and remaining issues. The company continues to work on these graphics drivers to improve game performance on its hardware. Most problems affect specific software or unusual situations, but general gaming performance improves with each driver update.
