iPhone 15 Pro scammer gets scammed selling fake screen

A prospective buyer avoided purchasing a fraudulent iPhone 15 Pro after a friend detected the device had been fitted with a counterfeit 60Hz IPS LCD screen instead of the authentic LTPO OLED display. The seller, who listed the phone for 2,400 Polish złoty on OLX, was unaware the device had been altered, as he had been scammed when he originally bought it. The friend used his iPhone 17 to demonstrate how the Dynamic Island feature should appear, exposing the display substitution before any money changed hands. The buyer ultimately purchased a new iPhone 15 instead, avoiding potential losses from the modified device that the seller unknowingly attempted to resell.
