The Presidential Special Projects Head said former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua lied when claiming the cultural center had been sold off. Itumbi explained that nobody sold Bomas to any Turkish business person. He described these statements as completely false and designed to confuse regular citizens.
The government actually plans major upgrades for Bomas instead of selling it. This cultural site has remained mostly unchanged since back in the 1970s. Officials want to transform it into an amazing meeting place that matches places found around the world.
