Zimbabwe music star Jah Prayzah gave back the fancy cars and money he got from rich businessman Wicknell Chivayo. People say he did this because everyone's worried about something called the "31 March Fear." This happens as Zimbabwe keeps facing big money problems. The news shocked many fans and raised questions about why artists take gifts from people connected to politics. Jah Prayzah, whose real name is Mukudzeyi Mukombe, received some pretty sweet gifts from Chivayo. Back in January 2024, Chivayo handed him a 2023 Mercedes-Benz S500 worth about $180,000. Chivayo said he loved how Prayzah's music matched what the ruling Zanu PF party believes in. Later that year, Prayzah also got a Toyota Aqua for his kid to use going to school, $20,000 cash, plus extra cars for the women who dance in his shows. But lots of people started talking bad about these gifts. That might be why Prayzah decided to give everything back. The "31 March Fear" has become a big deal in Zimbabwe, with many thinking something major might happen to change how things work in the country on that date. Prayzah hasn't said anything official yet about why he returned the gifts. Inside sources claim Prayzah felt pressure from fans who didn't like him supporting Chivayo. Many believe Chivayo made his money through shady government deals and corruption. Fans really turned against Prayzah after he called Chivayo a "blesser par excellence" in a New Year's message. As someone who represents the Zimbabwe National Army brand, Prayzah may have wanted to stay away from political drama that could hurt his music career. People have mixed feelings about Prayzah's return of the gifts. Some fans think he did the right thing based on principles. Others believe he only acted because he felt pressured. One person on social media wrote that he just returned everything because things got heated. Chivayo, who usually dismisses critics as jealous, hasn't said anything about the situation as of March 27, 2025. With Zimbabweans expecting possible trouble on March 31, Prayzah returning these expensive gifts might show a bigger change in how people feel about political giving. We don't know if other famous people will do the same thing, but what Prayzah did has definitely added something new to the ongoing talks about politics and money issues in Zimbabwe.
