A High Court judge warned new lawyers about bad acts in their field. Justice Tawanda Chitapi expressed his worry about lawyers' wrongdoings. The judge shared his thoughts as four new lawyers took their jobs. He said these problems harm people's perceptions of courts and law work. Mr. Brian Kashangura joined three others - Ngonidzashe Chiware, Keisha Hunda, and Kudakwashe Nhari - as new lawyers. Kashangura's path stood out. He lives with a health problem, yet he did well. Last year, President Mnangagwa gave him his paper at the University of Zimbabwe. Kashangura worked hard for 31 years as someone who investigated wrongdoing. He earned three big papers from school. First, he received his business paper from Bindura University in 2016. Then, he earned more papers from the University of Zimbabwe in 2019 and last year. Judge Chitapi told the new lawyers they must keep their word. "If you break your word, the law will come at you hard," he said. He wants them to be small in their ways and do right by others. The judge spoke of many law workers who face problems for bad acts. "Do not come to this court as someone who broke the rules," he said. He showed them papers about lawyers who did wrong things. The judge said courts take these wrongs very seriously. Law people must lead the way for others, work well, and show respect. The judge said lawyers must help the people who come to them. They must tell the truth at all times. Lies can make people stop trusting courts. He asked them to learn their work well. People who need help must know their lawyers can do the job right. Judge Chitapi's words tell us law work means much. These people must keep courts fair and right.
