Former councillor John Likando told voters in Kabbe South to reject any ideas about breaking away from Namibia. Voter turnout stayed low during the morning hours of the election. Electoral officials counted fewer than 50 people who had voted at one polling station before 8:30 AM. Regional electoral officer Lesley Simwanza confirmed similar low numbers at other voting locations across the constituency. The area has 3,509 registered voters who can choose between two candidates. Raymond Sezuni represents Swapo and Sydney Shamwazi runs as an Independent Patriots for Change candidate in the race.
