Kalonzo Slams Ruto Raila Pact as Betrayal of Kenyans

Kalonzo fought back against the Ruto-Raila deal, calling it a huge betrayal of regular Kenyans. He promised his group would keep defending citizens instead of grabbing quick benefits for themselves. After Raila met with Ruto at KICC on Friday, Kalonzo jumped on social media, stating that their agreement hurts everyday Kenyans badly.

He shared pictures showing him talking with people at Uhuru Park during the ongoing People's Dialogue Forum. Kalonzo told everyone there that his team represents "the loyal coalition" that includes former Deputy President Gachagua. They plan to stick together and fight for basic rights that matter to normal citizens.

Kalonzo visited the discussion sessions Friday, talking directly with civil society leaders who started meeting about national problems on Wednesday. Former Chief Justice Maraga joined these important conversations, which ended on Saturday. Just last month, Kalonzo begged Raila not to help government officials but instead unite with opposition forces to free the country.

Gachagua also warned Raila against joining forces with Ruto earlier. Raila rejected working with Gachagua during his Wajir County visit Wednesday, saying: "That man set traps everywhere trying to stop me from reaching State House for a handshake - impossible to work with someone like that!" The new agreement between Ruto and Raila promises to fix ten major issues, including corruption, plus implement everything from last year's Nadco report created at Bomas of Kenya. Senator Omtatah strongly disagreed, telling people at Uhuru Park: "Anyone backing Nadco needs removal from public life - Raila and Ruto declared war against our country's future."
