Karonga District Council has developed a new way to solve problems between groups. The plan helps people work out their issues quickly and inexpensively. Mr. Peck Chawinga shared news of this system at a meeting on Friday. He works as the Labor Officer at the council. He spoke for the head of planning. "When we run programs, people might not agree with each other," Chawinga said. "This system will help us look into their worries early. It stops small problems from becoming big fights." He said problems often start when work is not done well. Other times, people feel their rights are hurt. Some lose their land. Others say program staff did not treat them right. Chawinga made clear that crimes need different care. People should tell the Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau, or Ombudsman about them. For other problems, villages should try to fix them first. If that does not work, people can ask higher groups for help. Edgar Phiri leads the Civil Society Organizations Network in the area. He thinks the council made a good choice. The new system will make it faster to fix fights between groups. It asks people to talk things out where they live. Phiri wants all groups in the district to use this new system when problems arise during their work. He believes it will improve work for everyone. The system brings hope for more peace in Karonga District. It shows the council wants to help people work better together.
