Kasese Cheers as Museveni Paves Mega Roads

President Museveni opened new roads in Kasese town worth 53 billion shillings on Wednesday. Workers built thirteen roads as part of a government program to help towns grow. These roads changed how people travel around Kasese every day. The town also received new drainage systems and waste trucks to keep streets clean.

Museveni said the government keeps its promises about building better towns. He talked about prioritizing things when planning what to build. According to his plan for Uganda, security comes before other needs. The president asked leaders not to promise everything at once but to focus on what matters most.

The town earned more money after these roads opened for use. Their income jumped from 399 million to 1.4 billion shillings. Street lights help businesses stay open at night, where cars could not drive before. People who live there can walk safely after dark thanks to these changes.

Local leaders praised how the money helped their area grow. The mayor said they spent 49 billion directly on road-building projects. He asked for more support since they used the funds wisely. Many government officials joined the celebration to see the new streets.
