Kenya Power says a number of places across ten counties will have no electricity on Wednesday. Folks can expect blackouts between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. People living in Nairobi, Machakos, Nakuru, Nandi, Kakamega, Tharaka Nithi, Nyeri, Kiambu, Kitui, and Kilifi need to be ready for these temporary outages. The electric company has different schedules for each area. Many Nairobi neighborhoods will go dark from 9 AM to 5 PM. These spots include Highrise East, Magiwa, Highview East, some parts of Kenyatta Hospital, KMTC, and Mbagathi Hospital. Parts of Nairobi West Prison, Canaan East, and nearby homes will also have no power. More Nairobi areas affected during these same hours include Umoja 1 A, some of Tena East, and Umoja SDA Church. The power cuts extend to Umoja 1 Primary School, the Health Centre, Umoja 1 Market, Deliverance Church, Umoja Inner Core, and surrounding blocks. People in Machakos should prepare for shorter outages between 9 AM and 2 PM, hitting Graylands 1 through 4, Sunda Industries, and Sidai Village. Nakuru residents face longer blackouts, lasting from 9 AM until 5 PM, across numerous locations. Vegpro, Flamingo, parts of Kamere, Kongoni, Hippo Point, and Oloiden will be without electricity in Nakuru. Rain Forest, Aquila Farm, Ndabibi, Eburru Hills Farm, and Kijabe Limited must deal with the same problem. Other Nakuru spots going dark include Evergreen Avocados, Evergreen Herbs, Moi Ndabi, Sero, Ng'ondi, Maiella, Sagutiek, and Tangi Tatu. Nandi County folks around Cheptabach Secondary, the Market, and the Village should expect darkness from 9:30 AM through 5 PM. Kakamega power cuts run from 9 AM to 5 PM, affecting Bukhakanga Market, Shihome, Lukume Market, Ibiakalo, Mutsuma Secondary, Powerspot, and Musindi. Tharaka Nithi residents must handle outages from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at Mwanjate Market, Kibiga Kya Athi Primary, Chuka Tvt, Kathanga Market, and nearby homes. Nyeri County has one of the earliest starts for blackouts, running from 8 AM to 5 PM. The outages hit Kiriani Town, Kandabibi, Kagumoini, Kamacharia, and Thuita. People near Kiaguthu Hon Maina Kamanda, Ngoe Village, Kiriani Girls, and Kiru Boys need backup plans. Kanjama Market, Umbui Market, KCB Bank, Family Bank, and Equity Bank also lose power all day. Kiambu folks should expect darkness between 9 AM and 5 PM. Areas affected include St Monica, CRF, Nembu Secondary, Mutati, and Kahuguini Shops. More Kiambu places going dark include Karembu, Garoa East, Gateiguru, Nginduri, Thuita Secondary, and nearby houses. Kitui County experiences similar blackout times from morning to late afternoon. The Kitui power cuts from 9 AM to 5 PM will hit Iganga, Mlango, Kisasi, Musa, Mbitini, Voo, Kitungati, and surrounding areas. Kilifi County rounds out the list with outages during the same hours. Affected places in Kilifi include Mwango, Mkoroshoni, Basi, Mzongoloni, Mtondia, Tezo, Chumani, Magorani, Zowerani, Ngerenya, and Roka.
